Have you ever thought about how difficult it must be to be a model? Objectified from every angle, assumed to be dumb as a post, for the most part careers are over by age 22, and the clothes you have to wear are more modern art than ready-to-wear. Worst of all, think of the shoes. Yes, there are gorgeous examples of modern footwear strutting up and down catwalks worldwide, but the majority of them are 5 inch stillettors, massive platforms, or covered in enough tight straps and jewels that even Zsa Zsa Gabor would cringe. Hardly comfortable footwear for the workplace. How lovely, then, that a new brand of footwear is starting to take over the catwalks. I just got back from San Francisco. It was a glorious trip, with days spent at the Golden Gate Park, SFMOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art), a show at the Orpheum, and a couple of the best burritos ever!NBA Shoes Dwight HowardSince I went with someone who used to live in The City, we wandered all over the different neighborhoods, going from grey, bay fog to sunny Haight Street in one day. I was soo glad I brought my NBA Shoes Kobe Bryant with me! I was able to wear a cute flowy dress and a summer scarf, so I was cool enough in the hot areas, and the UGGs sure warmed my toes when the wind kicked in. And I definitely wasn't the only one; walking down the street, especially in some of the hipper neighborhoods UGGs were not an uncommon sight.NBA Shoes Kobe Bryant with jeans, skirts, and shorts! I got back to southern Oregon slightly dejected to be leaving such an incredible city. Besides, it's still incredibly hot here, so I'm not in full UGG mood yet. On the other hand, Fall is just around the corner, and San Francisco is only a 5-6 hour drive away!
