They ARE a little heavier than the Nike Zoom, but the bottom of the James shoe is much more sturdy.

I have had these Nike shoes for 4 weeks and I have a gap in my NIke Swoosh were someone has stepped on it. Overall these shoes are fantastic exept for the waxed on nike Swoosh.
